sometimes I get so caught up in the making that I struggle to stop and rest. but @satsukishibuya says what she does outside the making is just as, if not more, important than the making. that the painting and the writing are the icing on the cake but the cake is the journaling and the meditation and the conversations with friends and the living of life. that if we don’t take time away from the making, then what we make will suffer. and my dear friend @thehotelartist says that all of life is art. the drawing AND the napping. the writing AND the cooking. it’s all art and it’s all part of the art. so, sometimes when life feels really busy and we find it hard to stop, may we remember that the stopping is also art and the art will always be better for the stopping. —Daphne Cohn
